This article highlights the scientific and theoretical foundations of the social perception of health workers and the role and importance of the factors influencing it. There is an increasing need in the world for the training of qualified, competitive, independent-minded specialists. Currently, one of the urgent problems is the development and improvement of psychological mechanisms for the formation of professional competence of medical personnel. The Tallinn Charter «Health systems for health and well-being» and other important international documents emphasize the need for the population to use the achievements of medical and psychological sciencesIn this regard, in the process of reforms carried out in a specific way around the world, one of the urgent problems remains the requirements for the activities of medical workers, the issues of psychological improvement of their professional, personal and intellectual potential.
