The article discusses the socio-psychological mechanisms of adaptation to market relations in the personality of an entrepreneur. A scientific analysis of the literature on the mechanisms of socio-psychological adaptation is presented. Mechanisms of adaptation and protection are highlighted. The mechanisms of socio-psychological adaptation of the individual to secondary professional activity are revealed.
