the article discusses the application of methodological recommendations for the development of speech skills in practice, the organization of exercises for memorizing prose texts that have didactic signifcance for a student in order to teach him to speak fuently and expressively, the organization of exercises for reciting by heart, the analysis of the existing state of students’ speech skills.
