Abstract

This article highlights the issues of pilgrimage of Central Asian Muslims during the years of Soviet power in the 20th century. The period was studied through the comparative analysis of primary sources and literature, and appropriate scientific conclusions were made. It has been written about the fact that during the years of Soviet power, the Muslim population lived in difficult conditions, they were always banned, and an artificial barrier was placed on them.
The prohibition of religious holidays, some religious ceremonies and even funeral rites have been banned. In some periods, that is, in the years of the Second World War, the policy of lenience towards religion was carried out in the USSR, the goal of which was to unite the people in the fight against fascism.
