This study will focus on the exchange of top-level gifts between the Emirate of Bukhara and the Russian Empire on the basis of documents stored in the National Archive of Uzbekistan, the Archive of Foreign Policy of the Russian Empire and the Russian State Military Historical Archive. This study analyzed data related to intergovernmental decisions on such aspects as changing and compressing the rules applicable to the transfer of tokens, which are considered an integral part of the Eastern Diplomatic Protocol.
