Abstract

The article considers the role of music-theoretical disciplines in the process of professional development of a music teacher. The structure of the musical and pedagogical activity of the teacher is characterized, the types of his professional activity in the music lesson are constructive, communicative, organizational, diagnostic, creative, research; disclosed his professional competencies. The content of musical-theoretical, musical-performing, musical-technological training of a teacher is highlighted. Based on the competency-based approach, in the musical training of a primary school teacher, general subject and subject competencies are singled out, the interconnected totality of which is a condition for his effective professional activity. Attention is focused on the transformation of the teacher’s musical pedagogical activity in the context of globalization and informatization of modern education, the need to form a new information and educational environment. From the standpoint of new approaches to the organization and content of the educational process, the significance of professional network pedagogical communities is revealed - formal and informal groups of professionals working in the same subject or problematic professional activity in the network, acting as a special tool for methodological support of the modern teacher
