Abstract

The article discusses issues related to the need to preserve and recreate the author’s psychologism in translation. From a practical point of view, the forms of psychological imagery in a literary text are discussed, and literary and linguistic approaches to the pre-translation analysis of a literary text are also analyzed. As recommendations, an analysis scheme and the main problems that the translator must work with immediately before starting translation are proposed.
