The advent of technology in the name of problem-based learning in science has given rise to a response to real problems that every professional can face in practice. This article highlights the problem situation and problem-based aspects of Problem-Based Learning that have been studied so far, the level of formation, the advantages and disadvantages of this approach in teacher professional development, as well as the importance of inclusion in the educational process.
