THE CASE STUDY METHOD IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTELLECTUAL ABILITIES OF STUDENTS IN BIOCHEMISTRY LESSONS

Abstract

According to the authors of the article, the majority of undergraduate students in medical universities were trained to obtain superficial knowledge in biochemistry based on the level of knowledge they received before entering the university. It is noted that these students try to memorize their knowledge of biochemistry without delving into the analysis.
Such negative results lead to difficulties in mastering the subject of biochemistry.
The use of case study technology based on situational tasks and specific cases (TS and CS) in the teaching of biochemistry can contribute to deep learning by developing the intellectual ability of students. There is a wealth of literature on SH and CS, but no clear guidance on how to develop and conduct case studies. This article provides an overview of the use of SZ and KS in biochemistry. Included is a framework for implementing targeted SZ and CS through theoretical and practical sessions in a biochemistry course. In addition, this article may facilitate the introduction of SZ and KS into other courses. Therefore, the information presented here will be useful for medical biochemistry professors interested in active learning pedagogy. The features of conducting a lesson using case technology in the biochemistry classes of a medical institute are shown.
Based on the activities carried out, it was concluded that the characteristics of the kes- stadium ensure the development of students’ intellectual abilities, accelerate the acquisition of knowledge and expand their thinking in the field of science, and expand their skills in the field of science.
